CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
Grand hotel Dramalj, Braće Car 6, 51 265 Dramalj, PIN 88632032066 provides accommodation services. In order to perform accommodation booking followed by registering your stay in Grand hotel Dramalj, it is necessary to collect certain personal data.
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person such as name and surname, state, place and date of birth, type and number of identification document.
Collection and Processing of personal identification data
Processing personal data means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, storage, alteration, use, erasure or destruction.
Upon arriving at the hotel reception, every guest, in order to book an accommodation, is obliged to hand over to the employee at the reception an identification document (valid ID card or passport).
The above quoted data are entered in a licenced booking system named e – Visitor, where they remain stored for the entire duration of the guest’s stay.
On the day of the commencement of the guest’s stay, the same data are sent to the Croatian National Booking System, which is a statutory obligation for performing the activity of providing accommodation service, which is the activity of Grand Hotel Dramalj.
The employee at the reception is obliged to return the travel document to the guest within 24h from the day of registering the stay in the hotel.
The guest who doesn’t hand over an identification document, and which is imperative for registering the stay in the hotel, under the statutory provision will not be able to stay in the Grand hotel Dramalj.
Except for the above quoted programmes, your data ARE NOT TRANSFERRED to other programmes or to other persons.
At the moment of receiving personal data in the Grand hotel Dramalj, it is considered that the guest agrees with the use of provided personal data.
Grand hotel Dramalj collects and processes the guest’s personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (Official Gazette 103/03, 118/06, 41/08, 130/11, 106/12), other Croatian regulations, Directive 95/46/EC and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016).
If your data are used for other purposes, Grand hotel Dramalj shall inform you about the same in writing on the day of the end of your stay in the hotel. Your handwritten signature shall mean your consent to use your personal data for a precisely specified purpose.
For the purpose of promoting the hotel’s services, the employee at the reception may request from your data about your e-mail address whereby he/she will request your consent in writing, and you will give your consent for archiving your e-mail address with your handwritten signature.
If you don’t want to receive notifications about special offers or promotions of the hotel, you will clearly emphasize that with a verbal statement.
Use of your credit/debit card
Two options are offered for booking your accommodation in Grand hotel Dramalj:
- By means of the on-line agency system and its websites where Grand hotel Dramalj is advertised, and where it is required to enter information about a valid card. Information about the card are visible for Grand hotel Dramalj for a certain period of time and after that the same information are deleted (for more information contact the agency through which you performed the booking of accommodation in Grand hotel Dramalj).
For safety of the performed booking and compliance with the agency’s rules about booking an accommodation in the Grand hotel Dramalj, the hotel stores information about the guest’s card with the printed booking from the on-line agency interface through which the booking was performed.
Information about the booking as well as information about the card are kept at the hotel reception for the entire duration of the guest’s stay and they are not handed over to third persons.

Rights of guests in terms of processing personal data
RIGHT TO BE INFORMED
The guest has the right, at any time, to request the notification whether his/her personal data are processed and for which purpose, who the controller is, contact information of the data protection officer, which categories of personal data are processed, during which period they are processed respectively stored, who the source for receiving his/her personal data is, who the receivers of his/her personal data are, as well as the right to notification about his/her rights quoted in this policy (right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure, right to restriction of processing and other).
RIGHT OF ACCESS
The guest has the right to receive from Grand hotel Dramalj information about the manner and purpose of processing personal data as well as categories of data which are processed, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored respectively the criteria used to determine that period.
The guest has the right to request from Grand hotel Dramalj the rectification, erasure or restriction of processing personal data or he/she can request the right to object to the processing of the same.
The guest has the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority.
RIGHT TO RECTIFICATION
The guest has the right to obtain from Grand hotel Dramalj without delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning him/her and the right to have incomplete personal data completed.
RIGHT TO ERASURE
The guest has the right that Grand hotel Dramalj erases personal data concerning him/ her without delay if the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed, if the guest withdraws the consent on which the processing is based, and where there is no other legal ground for the processing, if the guest objects to the processing, if personal data have been unlawfully processed, if personal data have to be erased for compliance with a legal obligation in Union or Member State law to which Grand hotel Dramalj is subject.
The above does not apply if processing is necessary (and to the extent that processing is necessary) for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation which requires processing by Union or Member State law to which Grand hotel Dramalj is subject or for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in Grand hotel Dramalj, for reasons of public interest in the area of public health, for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
